Mark brings over 40 years of financial advice, research and management experience to WESCAP Group. In addition to serving the needs of individual clients, Mark serves on WESCAP’s Investment Committee, providing research and specific investment selection and helping to set WESCAP’s asset allocation policy.
Prior to joining WESCAP Group in 1993, Mark was a Financial Counselor with Asset Management Group, providing financial fee-only advice to Fortune 500 senior executives. Prior experiences included a stint as a financial analyst and tax preparer for a major West Coast bank and as a real estate analyst for a Los Angeles consulting firm.
Mark is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He received his MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA in Economics from the University of California at San Diego. The College for Financial Planning awarded him the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Mark is an active member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Los Angeles.
Mark is a winner of the 2001, 2010, 2011 and 2016 economic forecasting awards for the CFA Society of Los Angeles and has been a frequent guest contributor in the Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Kiplinger, among others.
Mark and his wife, Leslie, enjoy living in Hollywood and hiking and biking in nearby Griffith Park.
